How can therapy help me?

A therapist provides a safe, neutral space for you to talk about whatever you need to and hold the space for any feelings associated. Sometimes we trace the feeling or reaction back to the source so that it is no longer displaced. At other times a therapist can validate your experience and also challenge any limiting beliefs you developed long ago. What is unconscious, we are destined to repeat.

What can therapy help with?

Psychotherapy can be helpful dealing with:

  • Trauma
  • PTSD
  • Conflict Resolution
  • Depression and Anxiety
  • Stress
  • Grief and Loss
  • Panic attacks
  • Childhood Abuse
  • Relationship Issues
  • Anger Management
What happens during therapy?
The client and therapist work together to build a safe, trusting therapeutic alliance that allows the client to feel heard, seen and understood, while increasing their awareness of how they keep themselves stuck.
Will our conversations remain confidential?

Confidentiality is a key component of therapy. What you discuss in a session will not be shared with anyone else. By law, your therapist can’t release this information without your written consent, except in the following situations:

  • The therapist suspects there is past or present abuse or neglect of children, adults or elders.
  • The therapist suspects the client is in danger of harming themselves or has threatened to harm another person.
  • A client discloses abuse by a healthcare practitioner.
