Ketamine-Assisted Therapy
The process starts with an info call where our nurse will provide basic information and answer any initial questions you might have. From there, an Intake Assessment is scheduled where an in depth medical and psychological assessment will be conducted by both our nurse and MD or NP to determine if Ketamine-assisted Therapy and/or Psychedelic-assisted Therapy are right for you. Our team will also outline other treatment options available so you are able to make an informed decision about your care.
Psycholytic Dose (low dose)
Ketamine allows access to deeper material while softening our ego defences in the right set and setting. This can significantly speed up the therapy process.
Transformational Dose (high dose)
With treatment-resistant depression, trauma or anxiety we haven’t been able to process something from our past. We didn’t have the tools and support, it was pre-cognition or intergenerational. In the right set and setting we are able to tap into our inner healing intelligence and gain valuable insights.
Learn About Ketamine-Assisted Therapy
How does ketamine-assisted therapy work?
Ketamine works by affecting glutamate, a neurotransmitter involved in brain plasticity and mood regulation. Unlike traditional antidepressants, which can take weeks to show results, ketamine often provides rapid relief for conditions like depression, PTSD, and anxiety. In a therapeutic setting, it is combined with integration therapy to enhance emotional processing, insight, and healing, leading to sustainable change.
Is ketamine therapy safe?
When administered in a controlled supportive environment by trained professionals, ketamine therapy is safe. Side effects may include dizziness, nausea, or dissociation, but these are temporary. It’s important to be assessed for medical and psychological suitability before starting treatment. This is canvassed in the Information Call and the Intake Assessment.
How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions varies based on individual needs. Research is showing benefit can be derived from 1 to 8 medicine sessions, each followed by an integration session, depending on the treatment goals of the client. Some clients find benefit in attending for maintenance sessions that can be once a month or once a year and everything in between. Your provider will create a personalized treatment plan based on the Intake Assessment and your therapeutic goals.
